I’ve always thought that I’d build a castle,
And yes, I did build one,
So strong,
So mighty ,
So tall ,
A fortress built with stones,
that could stand against wars and battles.
It was fortified ,
My castle was my safe haven,
A manifestation of all I was, am and will ever be
An edifice magnificent to its core ;
Yet my castle I thought could stand against all the test of time broke .
The walls came crushing down.
A little crack here,
A tear there ,
Shattered glasses from broken windows everywhere,
And all I knew that was safe was lost.
I wanted to build a castle ,
And yes,I did build one ,
Yet it took me a while to realize it was all but
A SANDCASTLE .
